The Central Sanskrit University (CSU) holds the unique distinction of being the largest and the only multi-campus language university in the world. Functioning as the nodal agency for implementing the Government of India’s Sanskrit-related policies and schemes, CSU works in close coordination with the Ministry of Education. 1. Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor Grade) in the following Shastras/Subjects:

Essential Qualifications for Guest Faculty

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

Option A:

  • i. An Acharya/M.A. (Sanskrit) or equivalent degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with at least 55% marks. For Multidisciplinary Studies, a Master’s Degree in IKS, Sanskrit, or allied Shastras is required.

  • ii. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR OR hold a Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.

  • iii. Demonstrable ability to teach through Sanskrit medium.

Option B:

  • i. A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU World University Rankings.

  • ii. Demonstrable ability to teach through Sanskrit medium.
