Program Overview

This leadership role is central to the “CCA | Powered by HCL Tech – Career Shaper Program,” a specialized initiative designed to equip students with cutting-edge IT skills and ensure their readiness for the corporate world. The Head of Academics will be the driving force behind the academic integrity and industry relevance of this flagship program.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership & Strategy:

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine the academic framework, curriculum, and pedagogical methodologies for the HCL Tech program.

  • Ensure all academic programs are strategically aligned with current and future industry trends and technological advancements.

  • Establish and uphold rigorous quality standards for all aspects of course delivery, content, and student assessments.

2. Faculty & Trainer Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of trainers and faculty to ensure high-quality teaching and maximum student engagement.

  • Conduct regular faculty development programs, workshops, and performance reviews to foster excellence in teaching.

3. Curriculum Development:

  • Spearhead the development, review, and constant updating of IT training modules, encompassing both technical and essential soft skills.

  • Integrate innovative teaching practices like project-based learning, real-world case studies, and live simulations into the curriculum.

4. Student Success & Experience:

  • Monitor student feedback and proactively address academic concerns to ensure a high level of student satisfaction.

  • Track individual student progress, provide career guidance, and mentor students for certifications and successful placements.

5. Operational & Administrative Excellence:

  • Oversee all academic operations, including class scheduling, resource allocation, and strategic academic planning.

  • Ensure full compliance with institutional policies and maintain impeccable academic records and documentation.

6. Collaboration & Growth:

  • Build and nurture relationships with industry partners, corporate clients, and academic institutions to create new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the management to design new programs and strategies to expand the institute’s reach and impact.

Candidate Profile & Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field. A Ph.D. is preferredDue consideration will be given to graduates from IITs/NITs.

  • Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of combined academic and industry experience in IT training, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in contemporary IT domains such as Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Full-Stack Development.

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.

    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.

    • A proven passion for education, student development, and lifelong learning.

  • Attributes: Must have a good academic record and excellent communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

  • Pay Scale: As per UGC norms for equivalent positions. The package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, reflecting the seniority of this role.
