Organization Profile:  The University of Calcutta Senate issued a resolution on April 25, 1953, creating IISWBM. Mr. Justice Rama Prasad Mookherjee presided over the Senate meeting. This marked the end of the collaborative effort between the University of Calcutta, the West Bengal government, the Indian government, and business leaders to establish the country’s first management education institute—a notion that was foreign to many in the academic community at the time.

Pay Scale:   fixed at Rs. 2,10,000/- with special allowance of Rs. 11,250/- per month with other allowances as admissible at the Institute

Qualification:   Applications are invited from distinguished persons in the field of Management Education with PhD or equivalent having at least 15 years teaching or research experience and shall have worked as a full Professor at a reputed Institution for at least 7 years; or shall have industry experience at a higher level for at least 15 years. The candidate shall have administrative experience and leadership qualities for the position of Director of IISWBM
