Essential Educational Qualification:

  • Ph.D. with a First Class or equivalent (in terms of grades) in the preceding degree, and an excellent academic record throughout.

Experience Requirements:

Assistant Professor Grade-II:

  • Less than 3 years of post-PhD experience in teaching/research/industry.

  • Strong record of research publications (Q1 journals, A*/A conferences), patents, etc.

  • Preferably below 35 years of age.

Assistant Professor Grade-I:

  • Minimum 3 years of post-PhD experience with strong academic and research record.

  • Preferably below 35 years of age.

Associate Professor:

  • Minimum 6 years post-PhD experience, with 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

  • Strong research record with publications, patents, and Ph.D. supervision.

  • Preferably below 45 years of age.

Professor:

  • Minimum 10 years post-PhD experience, with 4 years at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc, IIMs, IISERs, or equivalent foreign universities.

  • Demonstrated research leadership, publications, patents, sponsored research, and Ph.D. guidance.

  • Preferably below 55 years of age.

Pay Scale (as per 7th CPC):

  • Assistant Professor Grade-I: ₹1,01,500/- (Level 12) + allowances

  • Assistant Professor Grade-II: ₹98,200/- (Level 10) + allowances

  • Associate Professor: ₹1,39,600/- (Level 13A2) + allowances

  • Professor: ₹1,59,100/- (Level 14A) + allowances
