Organization Profile:   At present, the institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programme in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer  Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. This programme is spread over a period of eight semesters. The institute also offers M.Tech programme in several disciplines including Biomedical Engineering,  Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. 

Designation:  

1. Economics – (Preferred Specialisation: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Economics)
2. English Literature – (Preferred Specialisations: English Language Teaching, Ecoculture, Dalit Studies)
3. History – (Preferred Specialisations: History of Technology)
4. Linguistics – (Preferred Specialisations: Computational Linguistics / Natural Language Processing (NLP) / Semantics / Sociolinguistics / Syntax)
5. Management – (Preferred Specialisations: Strategy and Leadership, Organisation Behaviour / Human Resource Management, Marketing / Consumer Behaviour, Operations Management & Decision Sciences, Information Systems, Finance & Accounting, Public Policy and Sustainability (Candidates with Interdisciplinary specializations aligning with sustainability management, business ethics, and behavioral sciences will be preferred).
6. Philosophy (Preferred Specialisations: Ethics, Logic, Epistemology, Indian Philosophy)
7. Psychology (Preferred Specialisations: Any area in Psychology)
8. Sociology (Preferred Specialisations: Any area in Sociology)
9. Education (Preferred Specialisations: Any area in Education

Department: Humanities & Social Sciences

Qualification:  Candidates must possess Ph.D. and minimum of 3/6/10 years of post Ph.D. teaching / research / industrial experience in relevant domains for Assistant / Associate / Professor levels respectively. 

Appointment and Benefits: The Visiting Faculty is a contractual appointment. The allowances, leave and other benefits will be as per Institute norms and the appointment will be done through a Standing / Selection committee on the recommendations of the
department.
