Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December 1931, the institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959.
Designation: Junior Research Fellow
Title of the Project: Infinite Dimensional Analysis in Modern Economics Scenarios

Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics/ Statistics from recognized Institute or University with valid CSIR/UGC NET/ GATE score or passed National Level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISC, ISI, IISER, etc.
Desirable Qualification: the candidate should have a strong background and a good understanding of the areas of Real Analysis and Measure Theory. In addition, a good understanding of Topology, Functional Analysis, Stochastic Processes, and other areas of Mathematics and Statistics are encouraged
Pay Scale: Fixed Pay of Rs. 37,000/- (Rupees thirty-seven thousand only) plus House Rent Allowances per month as per the rules of the Institute.
Tenure: The appointment will be for one year from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.
Working Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2024, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and differently-abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
