Organization Profile:    The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a premier, national-level Institute for Post Graduate, Fellow Programme, and Mid-career/in-service education, research, and consulting in rural management and allied fields. Founded in 1979, IRMA’s mission is to promote all-round sustainable rural development through professional management. The Verghese Kurien Policy Lab (VKPL) at IRMA undertakes research based on micro-data and helps evaluate central and state government policies and development programs. The methodological focus of the lab is on quasi and field experiments.

Qualification: 

Assistant Professor:
i. Ph.D. or Fellow from reputed Indian and Foreign universities/ institutions
ii. First-class or equivalent (in grade or points) in the Masters’ degree with an excellent academic record
iii. A post-PhD experience in teaching/research will be preferred.
iv. Must have demonstrated research capabilities in publications in reputed journals. In the absence of publication in reputed journals, authored books with a reputed publisher can be considered.

Associate Professor:
i. Ph.D. or Fellow from reputed Indian and Foreign universities /institutions
ii. First-class or equivalent (in grade or points) in the Master’s degree with an excellent academic record
iii. Must have demonstrated adequate independent research experience in publications in reputed journals and books.
iv. A post-PhD Experience of six years, of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor level (Pay Matrix 12A or above)

Professor:
i. Ph.D. or Fellow from reputed Indian and Foreign universities /institutions
ii. First-class or equivalent (in grade or points) in the Master’s degree with an outstanding academic record
iii. Must have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization with a strong record of publications in reputed journals and books.
iv. A minimum of ten years of post – Ph.D. teaching/research/ professional experience, of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor (Pay Matrix 13C or above)

Remuneration: 

• Assistant Professor -12A
  (At least 3 years or more of relevant full-time post – Ph.D. experience)
  IRMA Pay Matrix 12A (Rs 83,600 – Rs 2,09,200) Gross Annual C.T.C. will be around Rs.20,58,420/- at the Basic pay of Rs. 83,600/-*
• Associate Professor -(Relevant full-time post–Ph.D. experience of 6 years at the level of Assistant Professor, out of which at least three years should be Pay Matrix 12A or above)
  IRMA Pay Matrix 13C (Rs 1,37,000- Rs 2,13,500) Gross Annual C.T.C. will be around Rs.33,63,648/- at the Basic pay of Rs. 1,37,000/-*
• Professor- A minimum of full-time ten years of post–Ph.D. experience in teaching/ research, of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor with Pay Matrix 13C or above
  IRMA Pay Matrix 14 A (1,49,100 – 2,18,900) Gross Annual C.T.C. will be around Rs. 36,59,412/- at the Basic pay of Rs. 1,49,100/-*

*IRMA provides all faculty with a Faculty Development Fund in a block of three years (around Rs. 5 lakh), including financial support towards national and international conferences, etc. The pay carries all other allowances such as DA, L.T.A., medical reimbursement, education allowance for children, and Provident Fund (P.F.), as per the Institute norms. Faculty are encouraged to pursue industry consultation as per the Institute rules and a provision for additional compensation under the Faculty Incentive Scheme for teaching/training, subject to fulfilling the minimum work norms of the Institute.
