Designation:  project positions

Research Project in Malaria Biology Group at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi.

Project Entitled “Towards a malaria blood-stage vaccine: identification and structural analysis of key ligand complexes on Plasmodium falciparum merozoite through proteomic, cryoEM and immunological approaches”,

funded by DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance (India Alliance)

1. Project Manager (Equivalent to Project Scientist-II)
Educational Qualification and Experience of Applicants: Ph.D in Life Sciences, 3Yrs experience in R&D (Research and Development) in Industry and Academic institutions or S&T (Science and Technology) organization, along with strong
publication record in reputed indexed Journals.
Desirable: Experience in managing multi-institutional research project, research background in the field of infectious diseases, vaccine development, molecular biology, etc.

2. Research Associate (Equivalent to Research Associate-I)
Educational Qualification and experience of Applicants: Ph.D in Life Sciences with research publications in reputed indexed Journal
Desirable: Research experience in the field of cell biology, infectious disease, molecular biology, recombinant protein expression, protein structure determination (cryoEM and data analysis), cell culture, immunology, animal experiments etc.
Emoluments: As per DBT guidelines

3. Research Fellow (JRF/SRF)
Educational Qualification of Applicants: Master’s degree in life sciences (or equivalent)
Desirable: Research experience (2 Yrs or more) in the field of cell biology, infectious disease, molecular biology, recombinant protein expression, cell culture etc. NET/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
Emoluments: As per DBT guidelines

4. Project officer (Equivalent to Project Associate-II)
Educational Qualification of Applicants: Master’s degree in life sciences (or equivalent), >2Yrs experience in R&D (Research and Development) in Industry and Academic institutions or S&T (Science and Technology) organization
Desirable: Research experience in the field of cell biology, infectious disease, molecular biology, cell culture etc.
