    Project Overview

    This DST-sponsored research project focuses on developing novel organoselenium catalysts for asymmetric olefin functionalization, with applications in pharmaceutical and materials chemistry. The JRF will work under the guidance of Dr. Harshit Joshi in the Department of Chemical & Biological Sciences.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Essential Qualifications:

    • M.Sc. in Chemistry (or equivalent) with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD)

    • Valid GATE/NET qualification (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or JRF)

    Preferred Skills:

    ✔ Hands-on experience in organic synthesis, catalysis, or asymmetric synthesis
    ✔ Familiarity with analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC-MS)
    ✔ Strong academic record and research aptitude

    Fellowship Details

    • Salary:

      • ₹37,000/month (1st & 2nd year)

      • ₹42,000/month (3rd year)

    • Accommodation: Institute hostel facilities (subject to availability)

    • HRA: As per DST norms if hostel unavailable
