Position Details
Essential Qualifications

Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Geography or Earth Sciences (Minimum 55% marks).

Specialization: Geomorphology, Glaciology, Hydrology, or allied fields.
Desirable Skills
✔ Experience in:

GIS/Remote Sensing (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

Fieldwork in mountainous/high-altitude regions.

Data analysis and hazard mapping.
Stipend
-
₹37,000/month + 10% HRA (As per DST norms for JRF).
Duration

Initially 1 year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements).
Project Scope

Study glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) and hazard zonation in the Tawang region (Arunachal Himalaya).
