Job Title: Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow)
Department: Department of Civil Engineering
Project Title: “PrecipCube”: Geospatial Satellite Observations Data Cube for Precipitation Research
Employment Type: Temporary (Contractual)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Geoinformatics, Atmospheric Science, or Data Science, with specialization/research experience in relevant domains.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Research/industrial experience in computational geospatial data processing.

  • Expertise in advanced numerical methods for spatial analysis, handling large-scale datasets, and implementing OGC standards/data cube frameworks.

  • Working knowledge of AI/ML for geospatial applications.

  • Experience in system integration, automation, and geospatial decision-support systems or real-time data platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement geospatial data processing algorithms for precipitation research.

  2. Manage and analyze large-scale satellite observation datasets.

  3. Design and optimize data cube frameworks for efficient spatial data handling.
