Project Details

Project Title: Novel Unani Medicine Infused Organic Oil-Based In-soles for Diabetic Foot Care

Sponsored By: Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), New Delhi

This project aims to explore the formulation and development of Unani-based therapeutic in-soles infused with organic oil for managing diabetic foot complications. The research involves interdisciplinary work combining pharmacology, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, and natural product analysis.

Duration

3 Years (Co-terminus with the project)

Fellowship / Monthly Compensation

  • ₹31,000/- per month + 27% HRA as per norms

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Pharmacology

  • Pharmaceutics

  • Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs

  • Biotechnology

In addition to the educational qualification, the candidate should possess strong research skills in the following areas:

  1. Formulation & Development of herbal/Unani-based topical preparations.

  2. Quality Control, Standardization, and Stability Testing of natural product formulations.

  3. Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and related phytochemical analysis tools.

  4. Prior experience in gel sheet development and evaluation, including wound-healing assays and cytotoxicity assays.

  5. Competence in handling experimental animal models for pharmacological testing.

Desirable Skills

  • Strong understanding of herbal/Unani medicine.

  • Experience in writing research papers and technical reports.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative research environment.
