The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a DSTBT, Govt. of West Bengal-funded project titled “Development of solar-assisted self-sustained circular greenhouse for protected horticulture and floriculture.”

Position Details

  • Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • No. of Vacancies: 01 (Immediate joining required)

  • Duration: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years (with possible upgrade to Senior Research Fellow)

  • Fellowship:

    • ₹25,000/month (as JRF)

    • ₹30,000/month (as SRF in the 3rd year)

  • Age Limit: Max 32 years (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates)

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Energy/Electrical/Agricultural/Civil Engineering
    OR

  • M.Sc/MS in Agriculture/Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university/institution

Desirable Qualifications:

  • PG Degree/Diploma in Engineering

  • Experience in Greenhouse/Renewable Energy projects

  • Valid GATE score
