Kazi Nazrul University (KNU), Asansol, was established under West Bengal Act XIX of 2012, with the Governor’s assent published in the Kolkata Gazette Extraordinary on 16 August 2012. The university is named after Kazi Nazrul Islam, the celebrated “Rebel Poet” of India and the national poet of Bangladesh.
KNU was founded with a vision to promote higher education, research, and innovation across multiple disciplines, providing quality instruction and training that meets the dynamic needs of society. Eligibility Criteria
1. Bachelor of Optometry

Qualification: Master’s in Optometry (M.Optom / M.Sc. Optom) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade), or Ph.D. in Optometry.
2. B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology

Qualification:
-
M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 55% marks (specialization in Histopathology and Cytology)

OR M.Sc. in Histology / Cytology
-
OR M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (specialization in Microbiology or Virology)

OR M.Sc. in Clinical Microbiology / M.Sc. in Microbiology

3. Bachelor of Physiotherapy
-
Qualification: Master’s in Physiotherapy (M.P.Th / M.Th.P / M.Sc.P.T / M.PT) with at least 55% marks, or Ph.D. in Physiotherapy from a recognized university.
4. B.Sc. in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology
-
Qualification: M.Sc. in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MMRIT / M.Sc. MRIT or equivalent) with at least 55% marks, or Ph.D. in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology from a recognized university.
