Thanks to the generosity of Danaseela, Purapramukha, and Vidya-Poshaka Sri Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana Shresti, the long-cherished dream has come true.On November 6, 1964, Andhra Pradesh’s then-chief minister, Sri Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, lay the college’s foundation stone. It commenced functioning fully ever since July, 1965. The college had a humble beginning with 278 students and a devoted staff of just nineteen under the visionary leadership of the Founder Principal Sri S. Sundaram.
The infrastructure of the college is admirable. The college features a well-equipped gymnasium and large playgrounds. One of the college’s most remarkable characteristics is its exquisitely designed open-air theater, Kalanikethan, which has a seating capacity of 2500 with an open gallery.
