Educational Qualifications:

Librarian:

  • B.L.I.S. and M.L.I.S. with Ph.D. in Library Science (Mandatory)

Deputy Librarian:

  • B.L.I.S. and M.L.I.S. with Ph.D. in Library Science (Mandatory)

Assistant Librarian:

  • B.L.I.S. and M.L.I.S.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee library policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with institutional goals.

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate library staff for effective performance and professional growth.

  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for library operations, acquisitions, and digital resources.

  • Plan, acquire, and maintain print, digital, and multimedia resources to support academic and research needs.

  • Negotiate with publishers, vendors, and consortia for subscriptions, e-resources, and databases.

  • Implement and manage digital library services (e-books, e-journals, institutional repositories).

  • Oversee modern library technologies including LMS, KOHA, RFID, Remote Access Tools, and Discovery Services.
