  • Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCTR)

  • Technology Business Incubator (TBI)

  • Advanced Diagnostic Research Center (ADRC)

  • Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Outreach Program (MSCOP)

MSMF also runs Neuroscience Research Programs in association with the Narayana Institute of Neuroscience (NIN) and Narayana Health (NH).

Research Position

  • Project Associate

Project Title

The selected candidate will execute cross-project activities under the Neuroscience Research Programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in:

    • Neuroscience

    • Translational Medicine

    • Cell / Molecular Biology

    • Stem Cell Technology & Regenerative Medicine

    • Allied Biomedical Sciences

  • Availability to work regularly on-campus at MSMF

Desirable Qualifications

  • Computational thinking and Machine Learning skills (R, Python)

  • Neuroscience MSc / MTech / MPhil candidates preferred

  • Medical candidates with relevant research skills are welcome

 Job Duration

  • Initial appointment: 6 months (probationary period)

  • Extension: Based on performance during the first six months

 Stipend

  • Competitive (as per project norms)

 Job Roles & Responsibilities

1. Cell Culture & Wet Lab Operations

  • Perform and maintain cell culture protocols

  • Conduct laboratory investigations

  • Process biosamples and ensure quality control for neuroscience studies

2. Patient-Based Research (GCP E6 R3 Compliance)

  • Identify, screen, and enroll participants with informed consent

  • Collect clinical data, demographics, and biosamples

  • Research data entry, de-identification, and regulatory documentation

3. Laboratory & Translational Research Governance

  • Operational feasibility analysis of research proposals

  • Maintain meticulous experimental records

  • Adhere to biosafety and industry-compliant protocols

4. Project Activity Support

  • Coordinate experiments, timelines, equipment, and consumables

  • Present research articles and assigned research work

  • Assist senior researchers with:

    • Grant writing

    • SOP preparation

    • Quarterly reports

    • Manuscript drafting and publication process

5. Computational Analysis (Optional but Preferred)

  • Analyze wet lab, bioinformatic, and neuroinformatic datasets

  • Interpret and present results
