3 years post-Ph.D. experience or 6 years total teaching/research experience in reputed academic institutes, R&D labs, or relevant industry.
Associate Professor:

6 years post-Ph.D., including at least 3 years as Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay Rs. 8000 OR
-
9 years total experience, including 3 years post-Ph.D., with at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level (Grade Pay Rs. 8000).

10 years post-Ph.D. experience or 13 years total, with at least 7 years post-Ph.D., including 3–4 years as Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay Rs. 9000/9500 or equivalent.
