National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on October 10, 1959. It was the first Regional Engineering College in India and later became one of the premier National Institutes of Technology.

Job Details

Research Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title:
Design and development of lightweight, cost-effective and energy-aware Fog-based crop yield recommendation, disease diagnosis and management system using Artificial Intelligence techniques for rural India

Funding Agency:
Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG)

Essential Qualification

Candidates must have:

  • M.E / M.Tech / B.E / B.Tech or equivalent degree in:

    • Computer Science Engineering

    • Information Technology

    • Artificial Intelligence & Data Science

    • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

    • Computer Science & Engineering (IoT)

    • Computer Science & Engineering (Networks)

    • Computer Science & Information Security

Academic Requirement

  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in qualifying degree

  • Bachelor’s degree must have 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA

Preference

  • Candidates qualified in GATE

Age Limit

  • Below 30 years

  • Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/Women/PwD candidates

2.5 Years

Fellowship / Stipend

Candidates with NET / GATE

  • ₹37,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

  • ₹42,000 + HRA (3rd Year – upgraded to SRF)

Candidates without NET / GATE

  • ₹30,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

  • ₹33,000 + HRA (3rd Year – upgraded to SRF)
