PhD admissions are offered under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT – Phase II sponsored by the **Digital India Corporation under the **Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

🎓 Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must satisfy one of the following:

  • Two-year Postgraduate Degree in Engineering / Science / Technology in

    • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

    • Electrical Engineering (EE)

    • Information Technology (IT)

    • Electronics & Instrumentation (EI)

    • Related disciplines

OR

  • B.E / B.Tech with minimum 75% marks or First Class CGPA with valid GATE score

Additional eligibility:

  • M.Sc / MCA candidates with specialization in ECE / EE / IT / EI / CSE can also apply

  • GATE / NET qualified candidates will be preferred

  • Final year students can apply (joining allowed until 1 July 2026 if selected)

💰 Scholarship / Financial Support

Selected candidates will receive:

  • ₹38,750 per month for first 2 years

  • ₹43,750 per month for remaining 3 years

  • House rent reimbursement up to 8% of the scholarship

  • Research contingency grant of ₹1,20,000 per year
