Qualification Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Option 1: Four-year integrated degree course from an NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) and aggregate, including B.Ed. component.

  • Option 2: Bachelor’s/Honors Degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subject(s) and B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE recognized institution / 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) from RCI recognized institution with 50% marks.

  • Option 3: Post Graduation in the concerned subject with minimum 55% marks, provided that the candidate has studied the concerned subject(s) at the graduation level and holds an NCTE-recognized B.Ed. qualification.

  • Must have qualified CTET Paper-II conducted by the Government of India.

  • Must possess competence to teach in English and Hindi.

Subject-Specific Requirement for TGT (Mathematics):

Candidates must have studied:

  • Mathematics as an Elective/Main subject for at least 3 years / 6 semesters in graduation or a four-year integrated degree course.

  • Physics for at least 1 year / 2 semesters.

  • One out of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, or Statistics for at least 1 year / 2 semesters.

Candidates from Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with the above subject combination are eligible.

Note: Candidates with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry without Mathematics in all three years are not eligible.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in a residential school environment.

  • Knowledge of computer applications.

  • Proficiency in regional languages.
