Job Summary

Aries Polytechnic College invites applications from highly experienced and dynamic academic leaders for the post of Principal. The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall academic, administrative, and strategic leadership of the institution, ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, faculty development, and student success in line with AICTE, SBTET, and POLYCET norms.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Oversee curriculum planning, academic scheduling, and academic operations

  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and evaluation

  • Implement innovative teaching methodologies and skill-development initiatives

  • Monitor academic performance and implement corrective measures

Administrative Management

  • Supervise day-to-day administrative operations

  • Maintain statutory records and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Coordinate with management, faculty, staff, students, and external agencies

Staff Management

  • Recruit teaching and non-teaching staff as per prescribed norms

  • Conduct performance evaluations and faculty development programs

  • Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to institutional policies

Student Affairs

  • Ensure student discipline, safety, and welfare

  • Address grievances and foster a positive learning environment

  • Promote extracurricular, technical, and placement-oriented activities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with AICTE, SBTET, and POLYCET Admission Process

  • Prepare documentation and reports for inspections and approvals

Infrastructure & Resource Planning

  • Oversee maintenance of campus infrastructure, laboratories, and libraries

  • Plan upgrades for academic and technological resources

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Assist management in budgeting and financial planning

  • Monitor fee collection, grants utilization, and cost-effective operations

Industry & Community Relations

  • Build industry partnerships for training, internships, and placements

  • Represent the institution at academic forums, conferences, and public events

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree with First Class in Engineering / Technology

  • Ph.D. preferred

  • 10–15 years of teaching and/or administrative experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role (Principal / Vice-Principal / HoD)

  • Strong knowledge of AICTE norms and Polytechnic academic standards
