Position Overview

The Professor / Associate Professor of Physiotherapy will play a key role in the department’s academic mission through teaching, research, mentorship, and service. The position involves delivering high-quality education, conducting impactful research, and contributing to departmental and university development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy.

  • Develop, update, and maintain course curricula and instructional materials.

  • Assess and evaluate student performance, assignments, and examinations.

Research

  • Conduct original research in Physiotherapy with publications in reputed national and international journals.

  • Apply for and secure external research funding to support scholarly activities.

  • Minimum requirement of 10 research publications in recognized journals.

Mentorship

  • Provide academic and career guidance to students.

  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses.

Service & Engagement

  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees.

  • Contribute to academic administration and institutional initiatives.

  • Engage with industry and community partners to promote collaboration, outreach, and professional development.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years as an Associate Professor in Physiotherapy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in any discipline of Physiotherapy recognized by UGC.

  • Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.T. / M.P.Th / M.Th.P / M.Sc. PT).

  • Demonstrated ability or strong potential in teaching and research.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed academic journals.

  • Experience in obtaining research grants or funded projects.

  • Relevant clinical or industry experience in Physiotherapy.
