The Central Agricultural University was established under the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 (No.40 of 1992), which came into effect on 26th January 1993. The University became operational on 13th September 1993 with the appointment of its first Vice-Chancellor. With headquarters at Imphal, Manipur, CAU has jurisdiction over seven North-Eastern Hill States: Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Tripura. It plays a key role in agricultural education, research, and extension across the NEH region.

Job Title: Project Assistant

Employment Type: Temporary

Department: Horticulture

Project: Establishment of Crop-Based Model IPM Villages for Promotion of Integrated Pest Management Technologies in NEH Region of India (Funded by ICAR-NRIIPM, New Delhi), to be carried out at the Department of Entomology, College of Horticulture, CAU (Imphal), Thenzawl, Mizoram.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: B.Sc./B.A with working knowledge of basic computer applications

  • Desirable: M.Sc. (Agri.) / M.Sc. (Horti.) with working knowledge of basic computer applications

Job Location: Imphal, Manipur (Project site: Thenzawl, Mizoram)

Pay Scale: ₹20,000/- per month
