Organization Profile:   Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institution of National Importance of India, Pioneering National Security and Police University of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is established by the Parliament of India, Act No. 31 of 2020.
The University aims to become an academic-research-training ecosystem for national security and police. Its endeavours focus on highly professional national security, police education, research, and training through its qualified civilian and security faculty, committed human resources, motivated participants and students, intellectually stimulating and professional disciplined environment, and world-wide network, sharing, and exchange. It aims at providing security and strategic education in the contemporary and futuristic security, police and strategic studies and interdisciplinary areas.

Qualification:  

  • Senior Professor of Law
    • A. i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120
      ii) A minimum of ten to fifteen years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
      OR
      B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.
      C. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of inspiring and guiding academic teams. Strong vision and strategic thinking are essential for driving the school’s mission forward, while excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
      D. Experience in academic administration, such as serving as a department head, program director, or similar leadership roles.
      E. Proven ability to mentor junior faculty members and contribute to faculty development.
      F. Active membership in professional bodies related to law.
      G. Regular participation in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
      H. Contributions to policy-making or advisory roles with governmental or non-governmental organizations.
      I. Recognition in the form of awards, fellowships, or honors in the field of law.
      J. Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and research.
      K. Demonstrated commitment to community service and legal advocacy.
      L. preference will be given to candidate with experience, expertise and interests in criminal law, military law, international law, law of the sea / maritime law constitutional law, international humanitarian law, financial law, corporate / business law.
  • Professor of Law
    • M. i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120
      ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
      OR
      N.   • Associate Professor of Law
    • A. A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
      B. A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
      C. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score
      of Seventy-five (75) as per the criteria of UGC table.
      D. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of inspiring and guiding academic teams. Strong vision and strategic thinking are essential for driving the school’s mission forward, while excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for fostering a collaborative and
      inclusive environment.
      E. preference will be given to candidate with experience, expertise and interests in criminal law, military law, international law, law of the sea / maritime law constitutional law, international humanitarian law, financial law, corporate / business law.

Pay Scale:

  • Senior Professor of Law – 2,10,000/- To 2,30,000/-
  • Professor of Law- 2,00,000/- To 2,10,000/
  • Associate Professor of Law- 1,30,000/- To 2,00,000/-
