About IUIC, Mahatma Gandhi University

The Inter University Instrumentation Centre (IUIC) at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, is a premier research facility dedicated to advanced scientific instrumentation and technology development. IUIC is currently working on an innovative project titled “Oxidation Technology for Water Purification” and invites applications for temporary fellowship positions.

Available Positions

1. Research Associate (RA)

Number of Vacancies: 2
Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry with experience in handling sophisticated analytical instruments.

  • Preference for candidates with post-PhD research experience in Green Technology.
    Fellowship: ₹35,000 per month

2. Research Fellows (RF)

Number of Vacancies: 2
Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry/Environmental Science with 60% marks or equivalent.

  • Experience in analytical instruments is required.
    Fellowship: ₹25,000 per month

3. Technical Assistant

Number of Vacancies: 1
Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in any branch of Science with experience in chemical analysis.

  • Diploma/certificate in audit/accounting is preferred (for managing account details).
    Fellowship: ₹20,000 per month

Project Details

  • Title: “Oxidation Technology for Water Purification”

  • Duration: 6 months (extendable up to 12 months based on performance).

  • Work Environment: IUIC provides state-of-the-art instrumentation facilities and a collaborative research atmosphere.
