About the School
Sainik School, Satara was established in 1961 under the visionary leadership of Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and inaugurated by Shri V. K. Krishna Menon, former Defence Minister of India.
It is the first Sainik School in India, created to prepare students academically, mentally, and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other Defence institutions, particularly for students from economically weaker sections.

For TGT Posts:

Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in the relevant subject
OR
Four-year Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed (PCM) from Regional College of Education, NCERT with minimum 50% marks -
B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university / NCTE institute with minimum 50% marks

CTET / STET Paper II qualification is mandatory
