Fired with the zeal of promoting the cause of education, the college was set up at New Delhi under the benign auspices of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in 1961.

i) Essential: At least 55% marks in the Master’s Degree in the concerned subject as stated in the above statement (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and/or Ph.D. in the concerned subject. The candidate must have cleared NET conducted by UGC, CSIR.
ii) Desirable: Teaching, Research, in a reputed organization; Papers presented at Conferences and/or published in referred journals.
