Organization Profile: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Designation: Project Research Scientist I (Non-medical) (FULL TIME)

About the project: The School of Human Ecology, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, is recruiting for the following posts for a 3-year ICMR project on student mental health and well-being in schools and colleges.

Job profile:

•  Liaising with stakeholders for research permissions and coordinating meetings
•  Conducting data collection
•  Assisting in creation of content for well-being related modules and other content required as part of project deliverables
•  Organising meetings and maintaining minutes
•  Maintaining comprehensive records of all research goals and methods, and writing research reports and manuscripts
•  Training teams as part of research interventions and conducting capacity-building workshops
•  Data entry and management and all data analysis
•  Any other work as assigned by Supervisor(s)

Eligibility:
First Class Post Graduate Degree in Psychology, including the integrated PG degrees.
OR
Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Psychology, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:

• Experience in working with schools/colleges/adolescent mental health initiatives
• Experience with managing teams and/ or leading research projects
• Good academic writing skills in English and research publications
• Competence in using quantitative and qualitative analysis tools – SPSS, Nvivo/ Atlas.ti etc.

Remuneration: ₹56000 + 27% HRA per month

Duration: 3 years

Working days: 6 days a week

Working Location: Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai (Job responsibilities include travel to Thane several times annually)
