Role Overview
Shiv Nadar School is seeking a passionate and skilled Performing Arts – Theatre Educator to design and deliver engaging theatre experiences that nurture creativity, confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking in students.
The role aligns with the IB philosophy of inquiry-based and holistic education and involves close collaboration with Music, Dance, classroom teachers, and programme coordinators to deliver rich interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging theatre and drama lessons

Design age-appropriate learning units aligned with IB outcomes and transdisciplinary themes

Teach elements of theatre including:

Acting
-
Scriptwriting
-
Improvisation
-
Voice modulation
-
Stage movement
-

Guide students in:
-
School productions
-
Plays, skits, assemblies, and performances

Introduce students to stagecraft (lighting, sound, sets, costumes)

Foster reflection, inquiry, and cultural connection through theatre

Collaborate with teachers to integrate performing arts into academic learning

Organize school productions, annual day performances, and inter-school events

Maintain theatre spaces, props, costumes, and equipment

Provide constructive feedback during rehearsals and performances

Maintain lesson plans, assessments, and student documentation

Participate in professional development and school cultural initiatives

Promote inclusivity, empathy, and self-expression through the arts
Experience & Expertise Required

3–6 years of experience in teaching theatre / performing arts
-
Experience in IB or progressive school environments preferred

Strong expertise in:
