About the Institution
BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) was founded in 1946 by the late Sri B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a visionary and philanthropist, and later nurtured by his son late Sri B. S. Narayan. BMSCE is recognized as the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India.
With nearly seven decades of excellence, BMSCE has grown from offering three undergraduate programs to providing 13 Undergraduate and 16 Postgraduate programs across conventional and emerging disciplines. Fifteen departments are recognized as Research Centres, offering Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering, Architecture, and Management.
