Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), established under the South Gujarat University Act, 1965 and functional since 1966, is a premier higher education institution in Gujarat. Recognized by the UGC in 1968 and renamed in 2004 after the great Gujarati poet Narmad, the university serves the developmental needs of seven districts and two Union Territories. Spread over 210 acres in Surat city, VNSGU has been re-accredited with NAAC ‘B++’ grade (2.86 CGPA, 2022) and previously ‘A’ grade (3.02 CGPA, 2017), continuing its mission to provide quality education in diverse fields.
