Job Overview

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Gastroenterology. This is a full-time, on-site academic and clinical role involving patient care, medical education, clinical research, and departmental academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
  • Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and endoscopy services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students through lectures, bedside teaching, seminars, and practical demonstrations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, student assessments, and academic excellence.
  • Engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and scholarly publications.
  • Present research findings at conferences and scientific meetings.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, institutional committees, and academic events.

Required Qualifications

  • DM in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
