CIPET, formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, was established in 1968 by the Government of India with UNDP support in Chennai. It aims to develop manpower in Plastics Engineering & Technology and allied disciplines, being the first specialized institute of its kind in India.

Employment Type: Contract

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Lecturer (Engineering / Technology):

  • Full-time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in relevant discipline

  • If Master’s degree, First Class required at Bachelor’s or Master’s level

  • Minimum 1-year teaching experience in Polytechnic / Engineering College

  • Preference: M.E / M.Tech holder with First Class or Ph.D.

Lecturer (Physics, English, Mathematics & Chemistry):

  • Full-time First Class Master’s degree in relevant discipline

  • Minimum 1-year teaching experience in Polytechnic / Engineering College

  • Preference: Master’s with First Class

Assistant Placement Consultant:

  • Full-time Graduate in any discipline with 2 years’ experience OR MBA (HRM/PM) with 1 year experience

Remuneration:

  • Lecturer (All streams): ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month

  • Assistant Placement Consultant: ₹35,000 per month (Consolidated)
