The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) was established on May 1, 2016, through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Located at Jagti, Nagrota, on the National Highway, just 15 km from Jammu Airport, IIT Jammu aims to promote excellence in technical education, innovation, and research through world-class infrastructure and academic resources.

Job Title:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Area of Research:

Civil / Structural Engineering

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering with at least one year of relevant experience.
    OR

  • M.Tech / M.E. in Civil Engineering with at least six months of experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills in civil and structural engineering domains.

  • Experience in experimental and computational structural analysis is preferred.

Job Details:

  • Tenure: Initially for one year; may be extended based on performance.

  • Fellowship: ₹32,000/- per month + HRA as applicable.

  • Job Location: Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir
