Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Associate Professor in Biochemistry to join a reputed medical college in Vijayawada. The selected candidate will actively contribute to teaching, research, student mentorship, and departmental administration, while supporting the academic growth of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Duties

  • Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials for MBBS and MD (Biochemistry) students

  • Design, update, and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and assessment methods as per NMC guidelines

  • Conduct internal assessments and evaluate student performance

Research & Publications

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in Biochemistry and allied disciplines

  • Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences

  • Guide postgraduate students and Ph.D. scholars in research work

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Support departmental administration, including laboratory management and procurement

  • Participate in academic committees and institutional development activities

Student Mentorship

  • Mentor students in academic, research, and professional development

  • Provide guidance for competitive exams, research proposals, and clinical applications of Biochemistry

Continuous Learning & Professional Development

  • Stay updated with advancements in Biochemistry and medical education

  • Participate in faculty development programs, workshops, and training sessions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Qualification: MD (Biochemistry) or equivalent, recognized by NMC

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years as an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at a recognized medical college

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research

Skills Required

  • Strong conceptual and clinical knowledge of Biochemistry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Research guidance and publication expertise

  • Proficiency with modern teaching aids and digital platforms
