Role Summary

The Sociology and Humanities Faculty will be responsible for teaching sociology concepts, theories, and research methods to senior secondary students. The role involves developing engaging lesson plans, evaluating student performance, mentoring learners, and encouraging critical thinking about social structures, culture, and human behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Sociology and Humanities lessons as per the curriculum.
  • Teach topics including social institutions, culture, socialization, inequality, family, education, and social change.
  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and examinations.
  • Assess student performance through tests, presentations, and coursework.
  • Encourage classroom discussions and critical analysis of contemporary social issues.
  • Guide students in research projects and field studies.
  • Maintain student academic records and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and school activities.
  • Stay updated with current developments in sociology and modern educational practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • B.Ed. is Mandatory
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Sociology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of teaching experience in Senior Secondary School.
  • Strong knowledge of sociological theories and research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in digital teaching tools and technology-enabled learning platforms.
