Essential Qualifications
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following eligibility criteria:
Option 1
- First Class in B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in:
- Biotechnology
- Chemical Engineering
- OR M.Sc. in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels
- Qualified GATE or National Level Eligibility Examination such as:
- DBT
- ICMR
- ICAR
- Equivalent examinations
Option 2
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at either UG or PG level
- Valid GATE score or National Level Eligibility Examination qualification
SC/ST/PwD Candidates
- Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA
- Qualified GATE or National Level Eligibility Examination
Candidates Without GATE
Eligible if they possess:
- M.Sc./M.Tech. in a relevant discipline
- CGPA of 7.5 or above
- Degree obtained from a Centrally Funded Technical Institution
Final Year Candidates
Students in the final semester of M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. may apply. Selected candidates must produce degree completion certificates and eligibility examination proof at the time of joining.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Microbial culture handling
- Isolation and screening of microorganisms
- Preservation and maintenance of microbial cultures
- Fermentation technology
- Statistical data analysis
- Scientific report writing
- Research documentation
- Academic writing in English
Salary Details

| 2nd Year | ₹37,000/- per month + HRA |
| 3rd Year | ₹42,000/- per month + HRA |
HRA: 10% as per Institute norms.
