The Department of Botany invites eligible candidates to attend a Walk-in Interview for the position of Project Associate-I under a DBT-sponsored research project. The appointments are purely temporary and will remain co-terminus with the project.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a First Class in any one of the following:

  • M.Sc.
  • M.Tech.

Specialization

  • Botany
  • Life Sciences
  • Biotechnology
  • Or any other relevant discipline from a UGC-recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

  • Biochemical analysis of medicinal plants
  • Plant tissue culture
  • Molecular biology techniques
  • Plant biotechnology research
  • Laboratory handling and documentation
  • Scientific data analysis and report preparation

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in research related to medicinal and aromatic plants.
  • Conducting laboratory experiments and biochemical analysis.
  • Supporting plant tissue culture and molecular biology work.
  • Collecting and analyzing research data.
  • Maintaining laboratory records and project documentation.
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator in project execution and reporting.
  • Participating in field visits, sample collection, and research activities.
