Project Details

Project Title

“Matrix Inhomogeneity and Degradation Regulate Tissue Growth”

The project focuses on computational and theoretical modelling of tissue growth by studying the effects of matrix inhomogeneity and degradation using advanced mathematical and computational techniques.

Fellowship

Monthly Fellowship:

  • ₹37,000 per month
  • 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Note: HRA will be provided only if hostel accommodation is not allotted by the institute.

Essential Qualification

Applicants must possess:

  • M.Sc. in Physics, or
  • B.Tech. in Engineering Physics

from a recognized institution with at least 60% marks.

In addition, candidates must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

  • Valid GATE score.
  • DST INSPIRE Fellowship.
  • CSIR-UGC JRF qualification.
  • CGPA of 9.0 or above from a Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI).

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Strong interest in scientific programming.
  • Experience in Computational Physics.
  • Numerical solution of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs).
  • Numerical solution of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs).
  • Programming experience in:
    • Python
    • C
    • C++
    • Fortran
    • MATLAB
  • Mathematical modelling and simulation techniques.

Job Responsibilities

The selected Junior Research Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Developing computational models for tissue growth.
  • Solving differential equations using numerical methods.
  • Programming and simulation using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or Fortran.
  • Analyzing simulation results and interpreting research outcomes.
  • Preparing technical reports, research papers, and presentations.
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator in project-related research activities.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams.
