• First Class B.Tech./B.E.
• Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.

Industrial Design

• First Class B.Tech./B.E./B.Des.
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Planning and Architecture

• First Class M.Arch. or M.Plan.

Science Departments

• First Class Master’s Degree
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Humanities & Social Sciences

• First Class Master’s Degree
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

School of Management

• First Class in any one of the following:
  • MBA
  • M.Tech.
  • M.Sc.
  • LL.M.
  • Equivalent qualification
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Experience Requirement

Applicants must have:

• Successfully completed one year of service as Assistant Professor Grade-II in Pay Level-10 at NIT Rourkela.

Eligibility, experience, and other service conditions shall be governed by:

• Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statutes
• Gazette of India Notification dated 24 July 2017
• Subsequent clarifications issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India

Salary

Selected eligible faculty members will receive:

• Upgradation from Pay Level-10 to Pay Level-11
• Salary and allowances as per NIT Statutes and Government of India pay rules.
