About ANGRAU
Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) was established as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) on 12th June 1964 under the APAU Act, 1963. It was subsequently renamed Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University on 7th November 1996 in honour of the noted parliamentarian and Kisan leader Acharya N.G. Ranga.
Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, ANGRAU continues to serve students and farmers across the state through agricultural education, research and extension activities.

Educational Qualification
Eligible candidates should meet the prescribed academic and research requirements.
Candidates must possess either:
- Ph.D. in the relevant subject, or
- Master’s Degree in the relevant subject along with a Bachelor’s Degree of 4/5 years, with First Division or equivalent overall Grade Point Average.
In addition, candidates must have:
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching or research experience, demonstrated through Fellowship, Associateship, Training or similar engagements.
- At least one research paper published in an SCI-indexed or NAAS-rated journal with a rating of 4.0 or above.
Candidates holding a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences through the 3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s pattern must additionally possess a valid NET qualification.
Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching or research experience, evidenced through Fellowship, Associateship, Training or similar engagements.
Age Limit
- Men: Maximum 40 years
- Women: Maximum 45 years
Salary
