About the Recruitment

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), through its Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy (SRIC), has invited applications for one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under a research project in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The appointment is project-based and purely temporary.

Project Details

Project Title:
“Secure and Intelligent Indigenous Network Packet Processor on Field Programmable Gate Array with Hardware Based Stateful Firewall for Real-time Intrusion Detection/Prevention”

The project focuses on secure network packet processing, FPGA-based systems, hardware security and real-time intrusion detection and prevention technologies.

Principal Investigator / Coordinator: Prof. Rajat Subhra Chakraborty

Essential Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  • A postgraduate degree in Basic Science, or
  • A graduate/postgraduate degree in a professional course

Candidates should have qualified through an applicable national-level selection process, such as:

  • CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship / Assistant Professorship
  • GATE
  • Other national-level examinations conducted by recognised Central Government departments, agencies or institutions

Applicants should also have two years of research experience.

Desired Qualification & Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having:

  • M.Tech./M.E. in CS/CSE/IT/ECE/EE or related disciplines
  • Experience in VLSI design on FPGA/ASIC platforms
  • Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL
