About the Recruitment
IISER Tirupati, an autonomous Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications from Indian nationals for the post of Technical Officer/Senior Project Associate under an extramural research project.
The appointment is purely contractual and temporary, and will be coterminous with the project.

Essential Qualification & Experience
Candidates should meet any one of the following qualifications:
Option 1
A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent, along with four years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities/services.
Option 2
A Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Biological Sciences) from a recognized university or equivalent, along with two years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities/services.
Option 3
A Doctoral Degree in Life Science / Bio-Engineering / Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent, with at least one first-author peer-reviewed publication indexed in a public database such as PubMed, SCOPUS, etc.
Desirable Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:
- Infectious disease research
- Mammalian cell culture
- Handling of pathogenic viruses
- Protein expression and purification
- Molecular biology techniques
Tenure
The initial appointment will be for six months and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance.
The position is temporary and coterminous with the project.
