About the Recruitment

The Department of Data Science and Engineering, IISER Bhopal has invited applications from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the recruitment of two (02) Project Associate I positions on a purely temporary basis.

The selected candidates will work full-time on a project funded by MeitY, Government of India, involving urban analytics, drone technology, fire and slum proliferation, and building energy modelling.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should meet any one of the following:

Qualification 1

M.Tech./M.E./M.S./BS-MS in:

  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Related fields

from a recognized Institute/University.

Qualification 2

B.Tech./B.E. in:

  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Related fields

from a recognized Institute/University.

Desirable Skills

Candidates with knowledge of the following will be preferred:

  • Python programming
  • Machine Learning
  • Scikit-Learn
  • TensorFlow
  • Android application development
  • Game engines

Job Responsibilities

The selected Project Associate will be involved in:

  • Developing deep learning models for 2D/3D drone data
  • Developing interactive dashboards
  • Validating data
  • Collecting data from the ground

Salary

For Essential Qualification 1

₹37,000/- + HRA per month for candidates who have qualified CSIR/UGC NET or GATE.

₹30,000/- + HRA per month for candidates who have not qualified CSIR/UGC NET or GATE.

For Essential Qualification 2

₹25,000/- + HRA per month

The remuneration is consolidated, with no other allowances.

Tenure

The appointment will be for one year from the date of joining the institute.

Age Limit

Candidates should not exceed 35 years as on 1st August 2026.

Usual age relaxation will apply to:

  • SC
  • ST
  • OBC
  • Differently abled candidates
  • Exceptional candidates

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) highlighting suitability for the position
  • Detailed CV containing address, contact number, email ID, academic qualifications and percentage of marks from Class 12 onwards, date of birth and work experience, if any
  • Photocopies of transcripts/final marksheets of all qualifications from Class 12 onwards in a single PDF
  • Self-attested SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled certificate, if applicable
