Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has invited applications for the position of Project Associate-I under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase-III. The position is suitable for engineering graduates with experience in Android, Linux, Windows systems, information security, and penetration testing tools.
Eligible candidates with a B.Tech./B.E. qualification in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline can apply online before 30 August 2026.
About IIT Jammu
The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6 August 2016 and welcomed its first batch of students at its temporary campus in Paloura, Jammu. During its initial development, IIT Jammu was established under the mentorship of IIT Delhi.
In 2018, the institute shifted its primary operations to a 400-acre campus at Jagti village, located outside Jammu city. The land was provided by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the development of the permanent IIT Jammu campus.
The institute’s main campus is situated along National Highway–44, approximately 17 km from Jammu Airport and 19 km from Jammu Tawi Railway Station. Phase 1A of the campus is operational, while further campus development is progressing through Phase 1B and Phase 1C.
Project Associate-I Vacancy
The recruitment is being conducted for the position of Project Associate-I under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase-III.
The selected candidate will contribute to project activities related to information security education, awareness, security technologies, and associated technical work.
Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess a:
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Information Technology (IT)
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical Engineering (EE)
- Equivalent relevant qualification
In addition to the educational qualification, candidates should have at least one year of experience working with Android, Linux, and Windows systems.
Applicants should also have working knowledge of Information Security and penetration testing tools.
Good communication skills are required for the position.
Experience and Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should have practical familiarity with multiple operating systems and technical environments, particularly Android, Linux, and Windows.
Knowledge of information security concepts and penetration testing tools will be important for carrying out project-related responsibilities. Candidates with hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity, system security, security testing, or related areas may find this position particularly relevant.
Strong communication skills will also be useful for the Information Security Education and Awareness project, which focuses on promoting cybersecurity knowledge and awareness.
Salary
The selected Project Associate-I will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹42,000 per month.
Duration
The appointment will initially be for one year. The position may be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and project requirements, or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
