National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Tripura Campus, has invited applications for contractual Assistant Professor positions in General Chemistry, General Physics, and Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. About NFSU
The National Forensic Sciences University is the erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University and is dedicated to education, research, and innovation in forensic science and allied disciplines. NFSU is recognized as an Institution of National Importance (INI) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
NFSU established its transit campus at Radhanagar, Agartala, Tripura, in November 2021. A permanent green campus is planned at R.K. Nagar, Agartala, across approximately 15 acres.
Faculty Vacancies
Applications are invited for contractual engagement of Assistant Professors for a period of 11 months in the following areas:
School of Forensic Science
- General Chemistry
- General Physics
School of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics (SCSDF)
- Cyber Security & Digital Forensics
General Qualification
Candidates should have a good academic record and possess a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade, wherever the grading system is followed.
Candidates should also possess a Ph.D. in the concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Applicants should have at least two publications in UGC-CARE listed journals.
Assistant Professor – Regular Remuneration
Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a minimum First Class or at least 60% marks or equivalent at the preceding degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university, along with a very good academic record throughout, may be considered for the Assistant Professor contractual position.
Consolidated Remuneration: ₹90,000 per month.
Assistant Professor – Lower Remuneration
Candidates possessing a Master’s degree with minimum First Class or at least 55% marks or equivalent in the relevant discipline from a recognized university, along with a very good academic record throughout, and who have qualified the NET examination in the relevant branch, may be considered.
Consolidated Remuneration: ₹75,000 per month.

Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview. The tentative date for conducting the interview is 10 September 2026.
Candidates should ensure that their application contains complete information and all required supporting documents. Only eligible candidates meeting the prescribed requirements will be considered for the selection process.

Candidates are required to fill out the prescribed application form available on the NFSU website and update their profile as required.
The duly filled application form, along with self-attested copies of all relevant certificates, should be sent by Speed Post in a sealed envelope. Applicants must also enclose a copy of the online payment receipt.
The following should be clearly written on the top of the envelope:
