About the Position

The Central University of Jammu (CUJ), through its Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position convertible to PhD.

The position provides an opportunity for eligible candidates to pursue advanced research in Wireless Communication, Space Communication, Quantum Communication and Security in Space Communication, while progressing toward a PhD under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. in:
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering, or
  • Computer Science and Engineering

AND

• M.E./M.Tech. in:
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering, or
  • Computer Science and Engineering

Candidates should also possess a valid qualification such as:

• GATE
• NET
• NET-JRF

as applicable under the prescribed eligibility conditions.

PhD Opportunity

A major feature of this position is the opportunity to pursue a PhD.

The selected candidate will:

• Pursue doctoral research under the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.
• Be registered for PhD under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Conduct research in the relevant communication/space technology area.
• Follow the applicable PhD regulations of Central University of Jammu.
• Work under the mentorship of the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.

Fellowship Details

First & Second Year

₹37,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided according to applicable University/project norms.

Third Year

₹42,000 per month + HRA

This is applicable if the project continues and the candidate meets the required conditions.

In Case of Project Discontinuation

The provided notification indicates that ₹25,000 per month may be provided from the University fund/IRG, subject to applicable conditions.
