Neil Gogte Institute of Technology (NGIT) was established in 2017 by the Keshav Memorial Technical Educational Society with the objective of promoting quality engineering education. It is the first engineering college established after the formation of Telangana state.

NGIT is a sister institution of Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT), and it follows the successful teaching-learning practices and facilities implemented at KMIT. Neil Gogte Institute of Technology invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for faculty and other staff positions in Hyderabad.

1. Assistant Professor / Associate Professor – English & Professional Communication

Job Overview

NGIT is looking for a dynamic and student-centric English Communication Faculty member who can help engineering students develop language proficiency, soft skills, professional communication and corporate readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Technical English, Business Communication and Corporate Readiness modules.
  • Conduct interactive sessions in the digital language laboratory to improve phonetics and listening skills.
  • Conduct placement-oriented training, including mock interviews, group discussions and resume-writing workshops.
  • Train students in technical writing, including engineering research papers, project reports and official emails.
  • Organize debate clubs, Model United Nations (MUNs), public speaking events and literary festivals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification: M.A. in English, English Language Teaching (ELT) or Linguistics.
  • Preferred: Ph.D. completed or pursuing, or UGC-NET/SET qualification.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of teaching experience in an engineering or technical institution.

Key Skills

  • Awareness of current IT and core engineering recruitment trends.
  • Proficiency in digital language laboratory software and modern LMS platforms.
  • Ability to teach and support students from diverse linguistic and vernacular backgrounds.

2. Student Counsellor / Psychologist

Job Purpose

The Student Counsellor / Psychologist will support undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students in managing academic, emotional and career-related challenges and contribute to a healthy and supportive campus environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counselling to students dealing with anxiety, depression, academic burnout, relationship concerns and other emotional challenges.
  • Support students in managing academic stress, time management, backlog-related stress and fear of failure.
  • Provide counselling and emotional support during campus placement and career-transition periods.
  • Respond appropriately to psychological emergencies, self-harm risks and acute emotional distress.
  • Train student volunteers and hostel wardens in psychological first aid and early identification of distress.
  • Conduct wellness workshops on stress management, imposter syndrome, digital wellness and substance-abuse prevention.
  • Coordinate with faculty mentors, hostel authorities and parents while maintaining student confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or a closely related mental-health field.
  • Professional Requirement: Valid professional certification, registration or licence to practise as a psychologist/counsellor.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience counselling young adults, preferably in a university or technical higher-education setting.

  • Understanding of late-adolescent and young-adult psychology.
  • Expertise in academic burnout and performance anxiety.
  • Strong crisis-management and risk-assessment abilities.
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics and student confidentiality requirements.

3. Security Supervisor

Job Overview

NGIT is seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Supervisor to manage day-to-day campus security operations. The selected candidate will supervise security personnel, monitor campus premises and help maintain a safe, secure and ragging-free environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule and deploy security guards across shifts.
  • Conduct regular campus patrols and monitor CCTV surveillance.
  • Manage gate entry and exit records for students, staff, vehicles and visitors.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, altercations, medical situations and unauthorized entries.
  • Protect college buildings, laboratories, vehicles and other institutional property.
  • Assist management in maintaining campus discipline and preventing ragging and vandalism.
  • Maintain security registers, incident reports and visitor logs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification: Minimum Higher Secondary (10+2) or Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of security supervisory experience, preferably in an educational institution, technology park or corporate campus.
  • Preferred: Ex-servicemen from the Army, Navy or Air Force, or retired paramilitary personnel.
  • Fitness: Candidates must meet applicable physical fitness and medical standards for security personnel.

Key Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle crowds and emergencies calmly.
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, biometric systems and fire alarm panels.
  • Clear verbal communication skills in the local language, with basic Hindi or English.
