Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility requirements vary according to the discipline.
Animation / Graphic Design / Multimedia
Candidates should possess either of the following:
Option 1:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent PG Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
- Relevant fields include Animation, Animation & Multimedia, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Visual Communication, Interior Design, New Media Studies and related design disciplines.
- Desirable: One year of relevant academic or industry experience in 2D/3D Animation or Gaming.
OR
Option 2:
- M.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology, MCA or M.Tech with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Minimum one-year Diploma/Certification in 2D/3D Animation/Gaming.
- Desirable: One year of relevant academic or industry experience in 2D/3D Animation/Gaming.
Music
Candidates should have:
- Master’s Degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant subject.
- NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, or SLET/SET, or a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with applicable UGC regulations.
Candidates with qualifying Ph.D. degrees may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET as per applicable UGC provisions.
Electrical Engineering
Candidates should possess:
- B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch.
- First Class or equivalent in at least one of the degrees.
Psychology
Candidates should possess:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- UGC-NET in Psychology or a qualifying Ph.D. in Psychology in accordance with applicable UGC regulations.
Sociology
- M.A. in Sociology with NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D.
History
- M.A. in History with NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D.
Geography
- M.A. or M.Sc. in Geography with NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D.
Political Science
- M.A. in Political Science with NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D.
Chemistry, Mathematics & Environmental Studies
Candidates should possess:
- Master’s Degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, SLET/SET, or a qualifying Ph.D. under applicable UGC regulations.
A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in recognized global rankings such as QS, Times Higher Education (THE) or ARWU may also meet the stated eligibility requirements.
Anatomy
Candidates should possess a postgraduate qualification specifically in Anatomy, such as:
- M.Sc. in Anatomy
- M.Sc. in Medical Anatomy
- M.Sc. in Human Anatomy
- M.D. in Anatomy
Preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience in Anatomy for BPT, MBBS, BDS, Nursing or allied-health programmes.
Physiology
Candidates should possess a postgraduate qualification specifically in Physiology, such as:
- M.Sc. in Physiology
- M.Sc. in Medical Physiology
- M.Sc. in Human Physiology
- M.D. in Physiology
Preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience in Physiology for BPT, MBBS, BDS, Nursing or allied-health programmes.
NET / Ph.D. Exemption
